YouTube with new pause ads
As if we don't already have enough ads, especially on YouTube, where they are already pouring in at every turn, and some of them we can't even skip... That's why more and more users are using ad blocking services or programs.
YouTube has now confirmed that it will (already) play ads even when you pause a video. The new ad space does not mean that they will reduce the number of classic ads or their length.
They started testing the new ad space last year and came to the conclusion that it can be very profitable, but apparently they forgot to take into account the opinion of users, who definitely do not agree with this.
"Since we've seen good response from advertisers and viewers, we've rolled out stop-motion ads for all advertisers," says Oluwa Falodun, head of communications at YouTube.
YouTube claims that it can offer a less intrusive experience with such ads. They definitely came to this conclusion when they analyzed the revenue graph. We recently started seeing comments and photos on Reddit from users who were the first to encounter the new ads, and the response was expected.
New ads are currently not being shown to YouTube Premium users.
