Portable Winamp
Winamp was a popular desktop music player in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Then it died down a bit, but in the last few years it has started to develop again under new ownership.
The release of the new Winamp is now less than a month away. The new Winamp music platform is expected to go live on July 1, 2024, with the company hoping to sign 50,000 artists this year and one million artists by the end of 2028. It's still primarily about people directly supporting artists through music purchases, early access and more.
So it's no surprise that Winamp is coming back to the fore. A computer fanatic with the pseudonym Rodmg goes one step further. This one has prepared a special mobile player that closely resembles the popular Winamp. With it, of course, you can play popular music and enjoy the user-friendly interface.
The Linamp mobile player was made using a 3D printer. USB ports are also available here. Of course, there is also a screen with a 7.9-inch diagonal, and everything is powered by a miniature personal computer Raspberry Pi 4.
