What are Google's top and worst rated Android apps?

So let's take a look at what Google impressed us with as a developer and what disappointed us the most.
What are Google's top and worst rated Android apps?

For most users, many of the apps they use on their Android phones are created by Google. Here's an unofficial look at how Android users rate Google's top apps, with the top-rated apps being a bit surprising.

For this rating review, only the "phone" category was considered in the US, with Google assigning an overall rating of 1-5 for each country and format a few years ago.

Worst Google Apps

Starting with the worst which is the app Device Utility with 2.1 stars and just over 2,500 reviews. This app was born out of a lawsuit by Sonos and allows you to pair Google Home devices with older software.

  • Classroom — 2.4 and 2 million oce
  • Camera — 2.6 with 468,000 ratings — some app users are having major issues with Pixel cameras, especially as the hardware ages.
  • Health Connect — 2.8 and 4960 ratings
  • Pixel Buds — 3.1 and 15,600 reviews
  • Blogger — 3.3 at 162,000 reviews – The app hasn't received a proper update in a long time, but Google can't just shut it down.
  • Chrome Remote Desktop — 3.5 at 220,000 ratings
  • Authenticator — 3.6 and 455,000 ratings
  • Wear OS — 3.6 with 271,000 ratings — apparently the app is under repair
  • Pixel Watch — 3.6 and 2,230 reviews

The best Google apps

Google's best and most popular apps go up to 4.0 and well beyond that number. Despite everything, some well-known applications fall just below this limit and are at 3.9: Google TV and Recorder.
