The Nano Play portable gaming console promises a lot
The Steam Deck's biggest weakness is battery life, but so far no competitor has been able to exploit this shortcoming. The Ayaneo 2 with the Ryzen 6800U processor was not up to the challenge. Even the Asus ROG Ally with the AMD Z1 Extreme processor failed to overtake its rival if it wanted to have a battery of the same capacity.
Now, however, NanoPlay may have found the answer—in a larger, heavier handheld device called the Nano Play, which they've stuffed with a 48-Wh battery that they say can last for hours of gaming. This will easily convince even the biggest fans of computer games who love to play games on the go.
The new Nano Playbo portable console is coming soon and there is no doubt that it is a device with an interesting configuration. It boasts a 7-inch high-resolution screen and a Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. The latter is actually an improved version of the Ryzen 7 7840U processor with eight processing cores and an integrated Radeon 780M graphics card. The latter will easily cope with the most graphically demanding computer games.
The high-quality screen of the Nano Play portable game console boasts a frame rate of 165 frames per second. In addition, it is a relatively compact device. It measures only 260 x 105 x 31 millimeters and weighs 700 grams. This will soon be available for purchase via the startup portal Kickstarter for a calculated price of 473 euros.
