The new Raspberry Pi Pico 2 for less than 5 euros
The compact yet powerful Raspberry Pi personal computers are still very popular, and have been around for just under 10 years. This is not surprising, as it is possible to build very interesting devices on its basis. This is also an incentive for Raspberry Pi to prepare new computer systems as a bet.
The Raspberry Pi Foundation recently presented its new micro-controller with one big interesting feature – the price of the controller is lower than the menu at a fast food restaurant. That's right. The price of the Raspberry Pi Pico 2 controller is only five US dollars, which is a little more than four and a half euros. The novelty is already available for purchase at https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/raspberry-pi-pico-2/.
The Pico 2 is powered by a custom-built RP2350 chip (SoC). It also has a built-in 150 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor and 264K of SRAM, and 2MB of memory. It is also suitable for beginners, as the foundation regularly takes care of its released products, as well as publishes guides that guide the consumer step by step.
In connection with the super-compact Raspberry Pi Pico system, a rich range of interfaces is also available, especially USB interfaces and support for programming with the UF2 interface. There is even a dedicated temperature sensor here. More information about the product itself is available at https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/raspberry-pi-pico-2/.
