Virtual and augmented reality have been a hot topic for several years. Predictions show that they will be even more pronounced in the future. Until now, we have mainly witnessed two types of glasses for virtual and augmented reality. Cheaper ones that only contain suitable lenses and are used in conjunction with a smartphone, and comprehensive and much more expensive solutions that offer a more advanced experience.

Regardless of the chosen solution, excellent hardware and software are key to the ultimate user experience. They are well aware of this at the startup Sightful. Namely, they have prepared an extremely advanced laptop Spacetop, which is connected to advanced glasses for augmented reality. When the laptop is active, miniature 1080p resolution screens with a frequency of 75 hertz built into the glasses ensure that a screen with a 100-inch or 254-centimeter diagonal and 2K resolution is drawn in front of the user's nose.

Advanced augmented reality glasses also have miniature speakers built into them. A DisplayPort interface is available to connect the laptop to the glasses. The desktop Spacetop laptop features a powerful Snapdragon 865 mobile processor from Qualcomm, eight gigabytes of system memory and 256 gigabytes of data storage space. The built-in battery provides up to five hours of autonomy. They are also equipped with a web camera.

The Spacetop laptop is based on a reworked version of the Android mobile operating system called Spacetop OS. Of course, the novelty will not be cheap, and only 1000 units will be available. A calculated 1,850 euros will have to be deducted for the laptop and glasses. The exact date of the sale has not yet been revealed.
