The date when Google Podcasts finally says goodbye is known

Google already announced in September of this year that their Google Podcasts service is slowly saying goodbye. At the time, it may have seemed like there was still hope for the app to survive, but it is now definitively clear that this is not the case. There is a known date when Google Podcasts will truly no longer be available. In the document, it can be seen that users will be able to use Google Podcasts until the end of March next year, which means that the application will shut down in April.

Attention podcast subscribers

Google says that all podcast subscribers in the Google Podcasts app can transfer their subscriptions to YouTube Music until July 2024. You can also transfer your subscriptions and data to other OPML-enabled apps.

Storitev Google Podkasti je zaživela leta 2016. Šlo je za nadaljevanje takratnih aplikacij Google Listen in Google Play Music Podcasts, ki sta bili ukinjeni leta 2012 in 2020.
