China is also becoming increasingly independent in the field of processor technology. This was recently demonstrated by Zhaoxin with the preparation of the KX-7000 dedicated processor. In addition to processor cores, this also contains graphics cores.

The Zhaoxin KX-7000 processor uses eight physical processing cores to calculate data. In all likelihood, the novelty is manufactured using 7-nanometer technology. The shape of the novelty may resemble Intel processors with the LGA-1700 socket. Many experts are therefore convinced that the Zhaoxin KX-7000 processor could actually be based on Intel's Core i3-N300 processor, which is powerful enough even for more demanding tasks.

The Chinese Zhaoxin KX-7000 processor is also equipped with four megabytes of L2 cache and 32 megabytes of L3 cache. The weaker version calculates data at a basic frequency of three gigahertz and an accelerated frequency of 3.6 gigahertz. The more powerful one calculates data at a basic frequency of 3.2 gigahertz and an accelerated frequency of 3.7 gigahertz. There is also support for DDR5-48000 and DDR4-3200 system memories, namely up to a capacity of 128 gigabytes, and for a rich range of connectors and interfaces.

The new Zhaoxin KX-7000 processor is also equipped with a powerful C1190 integrated graphics card for the laptop. This provides support for a rich range of graphics codecs such as DX12, OpenCL 1.2 and OpenGL 4.6. The novelty will be available for purchase on the Chinese market soon. Therefore, it will be interesting to follow how the innovation will actually turn out in practice and whether it could soon come to Europe as well.
