Motorola mid-range phones available in Europe
Motorola introduced three new mid-range mobile phones: Motorola Edge 40 Neo, Motorola G84 and Motorola G54. All three phones, which run on Android 13, will cost around 300 euros and will be available from mid-September - first in Great Britain and in some other European countries.
The star of the evening is the Motorola Edge 40 Neo, which acts as a stripped-down version of the Motorola Edge 40. Like the Motorola Edge 40, it also has a 6.55-inch bezel-less pOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. It has a less powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7030 chip, but a similar 5,000 mAh battery along with 68 W fast charging. The camera performs promisingly, especially the 50 MP main sensor, which is accompanied by a 13 MP macro and ultra-wide camera in the phone. For 300 euros, it works very well.
Motorola also continues its partnership with Pantone and is available in Pantone Black Beauty, Pantone Soothing Sea and Pantone Caneel Bay. The Edge 40 Neo is available in vegan leather or acrylic finishes.
The Motorola G84 and G54 also have great potential to make the list of best mid-range phones. The two phones are very similar. However, each of them had to make some compromises to achieve the low price: the G84 is equipped with the same camera as the Edge 40 Neo, but has an inferior Snapdragon 695 processor inside, while the G54 can be ranked a step lower with the Dimensity 7020 processor, but is even cheaper in return. In both cases, there is a 6.55-inch Full HD+ screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a large battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh with fast charging up to 30 W.
The Motorola Edge 40 Neo will be available for sale for around 300 to 350 euros, the G84 will be valued between 250 and 300 euros, and we will have to shell out around 200 euros for the G54.
