Pocket game console for retro enthusiasts

The Chinese are preparing consoles for playing older retro games like on an assembly line. Obviously, this market is still profitable, because almost every month we can write about a new console. We understand the appeal, but given that today's phones can run all older console games (as well as Windows and Switch) using emulators, it's hard to understand why users still use such consoles. Especially since the price is usually not very low.

The latest console from Chinese workshops is the Ayaneo Pocket DMG. Both the housing and the screen give it a retro look. It is equipped with a mere 3.92-inch or 9.96-centimeter OLED screen with a resolution of 1240 x 1080 pixels. The battery provides several hours of continuous play. The console can run games for the Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS and even the PlayStation 1. Inside, the main component is Qualcomm's Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chip.

The Ayaneo Pocket DMG, strongly reminiscent of the legendary Game Boy, comes preloaded with tons of games. The aforementioned chip will ensure that they always work smoothly. This allows you to run both 8-bit and 16-bit games. Handy buttons for playing and two joysticks ensure an excellent user experience. The price and date of the start of sales are not yet known.
