The biggest problem for Android smartphone and tablet users is undoubtedly malicious software codes, as their number is growing. Malicious codes are becoming more and more dangerous for end users, and their authors are becoming more cunning every day. Of course, the vulnerability of the Android operating system plays a key role in this, including vulnerabilities found in Google's mobile applications.

The German company Volla Systeme has demonstrated with the development of the Volla Phone Quintus smartphone that it is possible to create a device based on the Android operating system, but without support for Google services and mobile applications. This means that in order to use the new product, you do not have to register with a Google user account and thus sacrifice a bit of privacy. Additional protection is provided by the default virtual network VPN. It can even be installed with the Ubuntu Touch operating system, which provides the user with an even greater level of privacy.

In addition to increased security, the new Volla Phone Quintus smartphone offers a number of advanced features. Among them, the ability to recognize the service we want to use simply by typing on the default desktop stands out, as the operating system will automatically detect and offer the user the appropriate mobile application or service. The hardware of the novelty is also not out of the ordinary, as it includes a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 mobile processor, a screen with a 17.2 centimeter (6.78-inch) diagonal, a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 hertz, eight gigabytes of system memory and 256 gigabytes of built-in space with the possibility of expansion.

The Volla Phone Quintus smartphone is also equipped with a 4,600 mAh battery and three cameras, namely a 50-megapixel main camera and a 16-megapixel webcam. The novelty is not cheap, of course.
