Samsung is worse than its competitor Apple this time

Mobile phones are constantly repeating the same features and better specifications, but there is not much real innovation. And the prices of devices are constantly increasing. Nevertheless, a recently published study by the analytical company Canalys showed that demand for smartphones increased by four percent in the last quarter of last year.

Apple performed best in the last quarter of last year. It even took first place in the world when it comes to the best-selling phones, overtaking its rival Samsung. While Apple achieved a 24 percent market share, its rival Samsung only captured 17 percent of the global market.

In terms of the number of smartphones sold in the last quarter of last year, Xiaomi was in third place, with 13 percent. In fifth place, we find Transsion with a nine percent market share and Vivo with seven percent. It is also interesting to note that a total of 1.22 billion smartphones were sold last year. This means that the share of global phone sales increased by as much as 7 percent compared to last year.
