Samsung G60SD: Good for Game Lovers
Samsung introduced the G60SD gaming monitor with a 27-inch OLED screen with a 2K resolution (2560 x 1440) and an extremely high refresh rate of 360 Hz. The monitor includes Samsung's latest QD-OLED technology, which supports a response time of 0.03 ms and can display more than 1.07 billion colors. It covers 99 % DCI-P3 color gamuts and offers a maximum brightness of 250 nits.
The G60SD monitor includes advanced features to prevent the "burn-in" phenomenon that plagued OLED displays in the past. It uses pulsed heat pipe technology that regulates heat by evaporating and condensing the coolant. This system is complemented by intelligent sensing and thermal modulation technologies that extend the life of the screen.
In addition, the monitor is treated with an anti-glare coating that significantly reduces reflections without the need for a screen protector. This coating is proven to reduce glare by 61 % compared to traditional anti-glare layer technology. The design of the G60SD monitor is modern and minimalist, and its thinnest part measures only 3.9 mm. It also has a light ring on the back which adds to its aesthetic appeal. For ergonomic adjustments, the monitor supports swivel, lift and tilt functions.
The connectivity options are rich with two HDMI 2.1 connectors, one DisplayPort 1.4 connector and two USB 3.0 connectors, which allows the connection of many devices. Prices are around US$900 in the Asian market.
