When will the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 be available?

The Nintendo Switch game console was introduced way back in 2015. This means that it is becoming less and less competitive compared to related products on the market. That's why game fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Nintendo Switch 2 gaming console for a long time. If online rumors are to be believed, it could be on the shelves before the end of the year. Namely, the selected users received test copies of the new products, which they can already try out.

According to the rumors of the first testers, the Nintendo Switch 2 gaming console is actually based on a reworked Nvidia Tegra platform known under the codename T234. It will be a Tegra239 Orin platform, which will be much more powerful than the existing solution. It will calculate data with 12 processor cores, eight of which will be Cortex-A78 cores. This should provide an average refresh rate of up to 60 frames per second.

The Nintendo Switch 2 portable console is also said to have support for DLSS 2.2 technology. In it, we will find a fast LPDDR5 system memory with a capacity of up to 16 gigabytes. This is supposed to allow playing the most modern games at the highest level. Its performance will be able to compete with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles without much difficulty. In practice, this means that we will be able to run even the most demanding games with the Nintendo Switch 2 game console.

Unfortunately, we will have to wait a little longer for the portable gaming console Nintendo Switch 2. This will be available only in the second half of next year. Namely, Nintendo wants to ensure a sufficient amount of units of the new game console in all markets around the world. This will actually prevent the "crisis" that Microsoft and Sony experienced firsthand with the insufficient supply of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S game consoles.
