Game lovers saw the arrival of one of the most anticipated gaming consoles of all time in November 2020. We are, of course, talking about the Sony PlayStation 5 console, which has been in huge demand since the very beginning of sales. Fans of console games were initially offered two versions, namely the classic PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, which does not have an optical drive. Recently, they were joined by a thinner version of the novelty, which can be purchased in the USA.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the company Sony even recorded record sales of PlayStation 5 game consoles. Retailers have managed to sell a total of more than 50 million units so far. Between January and March of this year alone, the computer giant managed to sell 6.3 million PlayStation 5 consoles. In the same period last year, Sony managed to sell only two million of the popular gaming console. With this, it exceeded the sales of PlayStation 4 consoles.

Demand for the PlayStation 5 gaming console could soon increase. We should soon see the more powerful gaming console PlayStation 5 Pro. The novelty is said to have as much as 2.5 times more capacity when shading content while playing computer games compared to the existing version.

Sony is preparing the PlayStation 5 Pro game console under the development label "Trinity". According to the latest rumors, the novelty should be ready for sale for the Christmas and New Year holidays in 2024. The first examples should be ready for testing already at the end of 2023. Sony has been developing the long-awaited PlayStation 5 Pro gaming console since the beginning of 2022. .

The main asset of the new gaming console PlayStation 5 Pro will of course be the processor. Here it will be an AMD processor equipped with eight special Zen 2 processor cores and an RDNA 3 graphics card with as many as 30 active graphics cores and 16 gigabytes of GDDR5 graphics memory. The processor will surely cope with even the most demanding tasks, as it should be able to reach an operating frequency of up to four gigahertz at full load. The processor of the regular PlayStation 5 console reaches a maximum of 3.5 gigahertz.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the graphics performance of the PlayStation 5 Pro gaming console is said to be comparable even to the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card. This means that the graphics performance of the new product will be almost twice as much compared to the current gaming console PlayStation 5. It should be able to run console games in both 4K and 8K resolution with ray-tracing technology. Playing in the highest resolution will naturally take place at lower graphics settings.
