A powerful SimplyNUC Onyx mini PC for 5,000 euros
SimplyNUC has launched the Onyx, a series of mini-PCs available in the NUC130Xv9, NUC130Xi7 and NUC130Xi5 variants. The SimplyNUC Onyx has a base price of US$699. That's the price of the base configuration, but it can be upgraded to nearly $5,000 with a Core i9-13900H processor, 96GB of DDR5 RAM, and 16TB of storage.
SimplyNUC has begun accepting pre-orders for the Onyx mini PCs that the company unveiled last week. The Onyx is based on Intel's Raptor Lake-H processors and has a chassis measuring 117 x 112 x 54 mm. For now, SimplyNUC offers the NUC130Xv9, NUC130Xi7 and NUC130Xi5, which are equipped with Core i9-13900H, Core i7-13700H and Core i5-13500H.
As already mentioned, each computer can be upgraded at will, but of course the price rises very steeply. We can also change the inputs and outputs on the computer. All configurations can be upgraded with up to 96 GB of DDR5 RAM and 16 TB of storage, split between M.2 2280 (PCIe Gen 4) and 2.5-inch SSDs.
Additionally, SimplyNUC lists five operating system options, including a no-OS option, five-year extended support, and NUC cap options to add more inputs and outputs.
