Phison with a fast and spacious PCIe 5.0 SSD drive
The amount of data in the world will increase by an average of 61 percent in the next few years. In the course of next year, it should grow to as much as 175 zettabytes globally; the share of data that is processed immediately will reach almost a third by then. Therefore, it is not surprising that there is never enough space for data storage, and the space on Solid State drives is still not up to the demands of the most demanding users. But soon that will no longer be the case.
The Phison company is preparing a very interesting Solid State drive, which will be equipped with a PCI Express 5.0 interface. It is a new generation of data interface that is already supported by both Intel and AMD processors of the new generation. Phison's new Solid State drive will be based on advanced 3D NAND memory elements and will offer both exceptional data transfer speed and high capacity.
Phison's solid state drive, with the X2 trade mark, will offer data transfer speeds of up to 14GB/s. The 3D NAND memory elements will be manufactured using 12-nanometer technology. In addition, the new Solid State drives will be compatible with artificial intelligence. The icing on the cake will undoubtedly be the high data storage capacity. The most powerful model will offer up to 128 terabytes of space.
The Phison X2 solid state drives will most likely go on sale later this year. At first, of course, they will be intended only for server systems, and a little later also for workstations. The retail price of the novelty has not yet been revealed, but the most powerful model will certainly be anything but cheap.
