PlayStation 5 Pro Developer Kit Already From Game Developers?

PlayStation 5 Pro Developer Kit Already From Game Developers?

Rumors are circulating online that PS5 Pro developer kits have already been sent to major developers with close ties to Sony. Some are predicting that the PlayStation 5 Pro will be released in 2024 alongside an unknown AAA game from a popular franchise that has been linked to Sony's console in the past.

Im A Hero Too is the nickname of a well-known whistleblower who diligently and often accurately predicts the outcome of consoles and games. He recently revealed some new information about the Nintendo Switch 2 console, as well as the PlayStation 5 Slim, which has reportedly been in development for some time. The slim version is said to be cheaper and lighter, but the other components should not change significantly. A whistleblower recently posted on Reddit that the dev kits are already in the hands of some developers.

If this is true, then the only logical possibility is that Sony sent a developer kit for the PS5 Pro, since the Slim version does not contain any significant changes and developing new kits would not make sense. This suggests that the developers are working with brand new hardware that is meant for a brand new console. In addition, the source mentions that he is said to have one of these alleged Square Enix development kits, which wouldn't be a surprise given how important the Final Fantasy series is to the PlayStation.

However, Final Fantasy isn't the only thing linked to the PS5 Pro, as some have already reported that a PS5 Pro bundle complete with the new GTA 6 game could be in the works, due out in the second half of 2024, which is also expected release for the Pro version of the Sony console. If Sony is indeed going to sell a new console with the much-anticipated continuation of the GTA franchise, then we can expect record sales.

PlayStation 5 Pro has already been described by some media as "the most powerful console in the world" (it is not an official claim, as Sony has been silent about the console). We can hope that the PS5 Pro will provide constant 4K gameplay at 60 frames per second and will have improved ray tracing capabilities and support for 8K output, while being priced below US$500.
