More expensive repair of Apple Watch smartwatches

Apple recently introduced the long-awaited new family of iPhone 15 phones. All iPhone 15 models got a USB-C connector, which was forced by the new European legislation. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will use the older generation of USB 2.0, but the Pro versions will still get the third generation of the USB-C standard. Along with the newcomers, Apple also presented the advanced smart watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2.

Apple's Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 smartwatches are cheaper compared to their predecessors. The Apple Watch Series 9 smart wristwatch is cheaper between 50 and 60 euros. The more advanced Apple Watch Ultra 2 smartwatch is as much as 100 euros cheaper. Unfortunately, Apple made their repairs more expensive.

The biggest price increase was the replacement of the battery. If the Apple Watch is not under warranty, we will have to pay 10 euros more to replace the battery. This means that instead of 99 euros, we will have to shell out 109 euros to replace the battery. This price applies to smart wristwatches from Series 4 up to Ultra 2. Owners of Apple Watch Series 3 smart wristwatches were spared, as battery replacement for them costs "only" 89 euros.
