The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ is an excellent high-end processor
The Dimensity 9300+ is MediaTek's latest flagship chipset, bringing higher frequencies and an improved APU compared to the Dimensity 9300. It boasts a Cortex-X4 main core clocked at up to 3.4GHz, compared to 3.25GHz in the Dimensity 9300.
The new chip, like its predecessor, is made on TSMC's third-generation 4-nanometer process node and has the same Arm Immortalis-G720 graphics processor with ray-tracing technology. The updated APU 790 promises a 10% performance boost for AI tasks and features MediaTek's new NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration technology. The Dimensity 9300+ can run Large Language Model (LLM) tasks with 7B parameters at 22 tokens per second.
The updated AI engine supports a wide range of large language models, including 01.AI Yi-Nano, Alibaba Cloud Qwen, Baichuan AI, ERNIE-3.5-SE, Google Gemini Nano, and Meta Llama 2 and Llama 3.
Mediatek also added MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT) for improved energy efficiency in supported games and Network Observation System (NOS) for optimized concurrency of two Wi-Fi/Cellular networks with up to 10% energy savings.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ mobile processor supports 5G mobile networks and wireless connection Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. In addition, it offers support for screens up to 4K up to a frequency of 120 hertz. It also supports LPDDR5X and LPDDR5T system memories and the UFS 4.0 data interface.
The first smartphones with the Dimensity 9300+ chipset are expected to be launched this month, namely the vivo X100s and the iQOO Neo 9S Pro.
