A sad ending for TikTok Now
TikTok Now is the newest social platform from TikTok. This was offered to users last September. TikTok Now allows users to post a daily video or photo at the same time as their friends. Users receive a random daily notification at the same time as their friends, and can then take a 10-second video or photo in real time.
But as it turns out, the TikTok Now service hasn't really caught on. The owner of the TikTok social platform, ByteDance, has announced that the TikTok Now service will no longer be available to users. As a reason for the termination, the company cited only their focus on improving the user experience of the platform.
However, many believe that the discontinuation of the TikTok Now service is directly related to its unpopularity. Last September, the TikTok Now service was used by "only" 15 million users. This March, however, the number of users dropped to just six million. Therefore, it is not surprising that the TikTok Now service will soon be discontinued. However, insiders are convinced that its features could soon be integrated into the primary TikTok application.
