July 11 - The day Amazon sold the most in one day

The first day of this year's Prime Day brought record sales. There has never been a bigger Prime Day in Amazon's history.

A wide range of products and millions of discounts

This year, Amazon offered more deals than any previous Prime Day, with Home, Fashion and Beauty among the best-selling categories. Among the best-selling products are Fire TV Stick, LANEIGE Lip Glowy Balm, Apple AirPods and Bissell Little Green Portable Deep Cleaner.

Amazon's vast array of products is powered by independent sellers – most of which are small and medium-sized businesses – and this Prime Day was also the biggest for independent sellers in the Amazon store. Amazon ran more Prime Day product sales for small businesses than ever before, and this year, small businesses Caraway, True Classic and TUSHY increased their average daily sales by more than 18 times compared to normal days.

Prime members have purchased millions of Alexa-enabled devices, including the Fire TV Stick (3rd generation) with Alexa Voice Remote, which was Amazon's best-selling product worldwide.

Prime members save more

Primers saved more this year than any other Prime Day, saving more than $2.5 billion. Prime is a lot of memberships rolled into one, from exclusive year-round savings to free shipping, quality entertainment from Prime Video and Amazon Music, and convenient shopping.
