Intel Meteor Lake processors for insane laptop performance
Intel has been thinking about the 14th generation of Core processors (Meteor Lake) for a long time, although the 13th generation (Raptor Lake) has not yet been officially announced. The latest information indicates that with the 14th generation of Core processors, Intel will also introduce a new socket, namely LGA 1815, which will replace the current LGA 1700. Fortunately, the novelty will be compatible with the older socket, which means that the processors will be able to be used on older motherboards, only a quick and easy BIOS firmware update will be required.
Procesorji Intel Meteor Lake bodo sprva namenjeni prenosnim računalnikom. Opremljeni bodo z oznako Intel Meteor Lake-P, uporabnikom pa bodo sprva na voljo modeli Core Ultra 9 185H, Core Ultra 7 185H, Core Ultra 7 155H in Core Ultra 5 125H. Modeli Core Ultra 9 in Core Ultra 7 bodo podatke preračunavali s šestimi fizičnimi in 12 navideznimi procesorskimi jedri. Pri modelu Core Ultra 5 pa bodo na voljo štiri fizična in osem navideznih jeder.
The new Meteor Lake-P processors from Intel will contain four components for the device, namely CPU, GPU, SOC and I/O. In practice, this means that they will enable the production of more compact portable computers, but they will also be much more efficient. The newcomers are said to offer up to 20 percent more efficiency with the same electricity consumption.
Intel's interesting Intel Meteor Lake processors for laptops will be available from December 14 this year. At the beginning of 2024, these will also be available for compact computer systems and all-in-one computers. Classic personal computers will follow immediately after that. Of course, the processors for them will be significantly more powerful.
