An innovative touch screen that can be used by two users simultaneously

Drivers are increasingly aware that cars are no longer just a pile of iron on four wheels, but also contain more and more advanced technologies. This is especially true for electric cars, as most functions are managed by dedicated software. This prompted the engineers of the Japanese company JDI to prepare an extremely interesting touch-sensitive screen that even the most demanding users will be able to appreciate without any problems.

The innovative Dual Touch 2VD touch screen is a screen that can be used by two users at the same time. This means that users are shown different content, which is naturally affected by the viewing angle of the screen. In addition, the two users can independently control the content of the screen. This means that only the user who manages it can see the changes on the screen. This will effectively eliminate the need for two screens.

Simultaneous control with one screen is actually made possible by advanced JDI IPS-NEO technology. It is also worth noting that the innovative JDI Dual Touch 2VD display offers images with a total resolution of 241 dots per inch, or 171 dots per inch per user. The brightness is 700 nits, the contrast ratio is 1,000 to 1 and the ban coverage is 65 percent of the NTSC color palette. The first cars will receive JDI's innovative screen in the course of next year. It is not yet known which car brands will choose it.
