Looking for a new gaming laptop? We found some good candidates

We've found gaming laptops on Amazon that don't cost a fortune. Still, they're good enough to keep everyone playing the latest games at at least 1080p for the next few years.

We have long been of the opinion that gaming laptops are very versatile devices. In economy mode, they are suitable for work or study, and there is also a performance mode, which shifts the computer into a higher gear. So it's ready to play your favorite games.

Laptops are almost always more expensive than desktop versions, but there are still quite a few bargains to be found.

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3

The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is the first laptop we've found on Amazon that we think is a good buy. It is currently reduced from €1199 to €899. We wouldn't recommend it at its original price despite the good specs. At such a reduced price, however, its value is much better.

Lenovo Legion 5

The Lenovo Legion 5 is €100 more expensive (€999), but has a better processor and screen, more space and also the latest DDR5 RAM.

MSI Thin GF63

Another gaming laptop that surprised us with its price and good hardware. The MSI Thin GF63 is also currently discounted to €999, but instead of the RTX 3060 graphics card, we get the newer RTX 4050 (6 GB) and an Intel i5-12450H processor (8 cores, 12 MB cache, up to 4.4 GHz). Other components are the same or comparable: 16 GB RAM (DDR5), 512 GB SSD and a 15.6-inch FullHD screen (144 Hz). Windows 11 Home is also installed.

Which graphics card is better, RTX 3060 or RTX 4050? Although the RTX 4050 is newer, it only outperforms the RTX 3060 when we turn on Ray Tracing technology. Without this, the RTX 3060 is generally more powerful, which you can also see in the video below (gaming comparison starts at 2:43).

If you are not satisfied with any laptop, you can return it within 30 days (more below). With all laptops, you can of course claim the factory warranty at any time.

How do I return an Amazon product?

If you are not satisfied with the computer, you can return it within 30 days. Go to your profile, find the order and fill out the order form to return the product. You will receive a postal label to stick on the packaging and send it to the nearest post office. Amazon will initially give you an approximate return shipping cost, which usually matches what you'll pay at the post office. If the amount doesn't match, you can contact support, attach the shipping receipt, and Amazon will refund you in full.

If, after the 30-day period has passed, you notice a bug that you cannot live with or the computer breaks down, you can claim the warranty as normal. Contact support who will ask for some basic proof and return the product using the above process. If it's an Amazon product, you'll get a replacement or a full refund very quickly. In the case of products with a lower value, it has also happened to customers that they received a replacement product without returning the defective one.

For products from third-party sellers, the waiting period is usually a little longer, and in most cases with a positive outcome.
