In recent weeks, among graphics card enthusiasts, the most talked about was the possible refresh of the RTX 4000 series with Super models, which we already know from previous generations. Well-known whistleblower “Kopite7kimi” has revealed some new information about potential new Super graphics card models, including information on the number of CUDA cores.

According to his information, the RTX 4080 SUPER is said to have a full AD103-300 core, boasting 10,240 CUDA cores. While memory configuration details remain sketchy, it's worth noting that the AD103 GPU means a 256-bit memory bus. It seems unlikely that we would achieve the 20GB specs without reducing the memory bus to 160 bits. The whistleblower did not confirm the memory and speed details of this SUPER upgrade. Also, some specifications for RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4070 SUPER were revealed. The first model has a somewhat unusual combination of badges (Ti and Super), so it is expected that it will drop one badge before launch. This model is said to have 8448 CUDA cores and is said to potentially use two versions of the graphics cores, either the AD103-275 or the heavily truncated AD102-175.

The RTX 4070 SUPER represents a modest tweak in specifications compared to the RTX 4070 Ti – by reducing the number of CUDA cores to 7168. This version could also include two different graphics cores, either the AD104-350 or the AD103-175.

All information should be taken with a great deal of skepticism. It's entirely possible that a lot will change by the time it launches. NVIDIA may also decide to abandon or indefinitely postpone the launch of a refreshed line of graphics cards. Currently, the company is more focused on generative artificial intelligence cores, which are seeing record sales.
