Not all gamers are ready to shell out a mountain of money to buy a graphics card. That is why Nvidia is preparing a cheaper version of the GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. The novelty will most likely go on sale in February 2024, initially for desktop computers. Its retail price on the European market should be below 180 euros.

The cheaper version of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card will be equipped with six gigabytes of graphics memory, while the existing one has eight gigabytes of memory available. This should still be enough for slightly more demanding games. For the newcomer, Nvidia will also prepare a new graphics core labeled GA107-325.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with six gigabytes of graphics memory should have 2,048 CUDA cores available for data calculation, or 512 cores less than the current model. Despite this, the core should still be able to cope with more graphically demanding PC games at 1080p resolution. The graphics core and the fast GDDR6 graphics memory should be connected via a 96-bit data bus.

The relatively cheap Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card is said to consume from 70 watts at full load, up to 130 watts for wound models. More information about the novelty should be known soon. As already mentioned, the novelty will initially be available for desktop computers, and a little later also for laptops. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with eight gigabytes of system memory will probably be withdrawn from the market.
