Have you met Claude 2 yet? A super powerful rival to ChatGPT
A rival to ChatGPT has been released in the US and UK, which it says is capable of self-regulation under the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Users located outside the US and UK can access Claude 2, which is currently still in beta test version, using VPN services.
Artificial intelligence company Anthropic's Claude 2 can parse and summarize large texts of up to 75,000 words.
Forbes Advisor tested the platform and used it to summarize AXA's 58-page policy document in five points. Claude 2 was able to highlight what the document covered and what it did not, including the contractual obligations of the insured.
Anthropic calls Claude 2 a “constitutional artificial intelligence”. The generative AI tool relies on other documents, such as the privacy clauses in Apple's terms of service, to generate ethical responses to queries.
The results of the tool are not always the most accurate. While Claude 2 was able to tell exactly who the winner of Big Brother UK was in 2001, he offered a fictional figure for the winner in 2022, when the show wasn't even on. In this case, Claude 2 made up that the winner was a 34-year-old microbiology and immunology student at the University of St. Albans Jill Mansell.
Claude 2 is currently in beta testing and warns users that it "may occasionally provide false or misleading information or create offensive or biased content".
It also warns users not to rely on it instead of doing their own research, stating: “It is not intended to provide professional advice, including legal, financial and medical advice.”
Claude 2 is one of countless alternatives to Chat GPT that offers generative artificial intelligence responses to user prompts.
Generative AI models are raising a lot of dust because of their potential to usurp workers if employers replace manual processes with automation. Investment bank Goldman Sachs predicts that artificial intelligence could replace 300 million full-time jobs.
How to access Claude 2 from Slovenia with a VPN?
Currently, the Claude 2 beta version is only available in the US and UK, which means that when you try to log in, you will get a message that they are working hard to expand to other regions. You can choose to be notified when Claude is available in Slovenia, but if you are too curious, you can use one of the VPN services and choose a server in the USA or the UK.
