Google is already laying off employees because of artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence has already raised a lot of dust, sparking both excitement and concern. The dilemmas brought about by artificial intelligence are certainly important and require thorough consideration. When we talk about artificial intelligence, there is often a fear of job cuts and increased economic inequality.
The fear of losing jobs due to artificial intelligence was recently reinforced by the company Google. This has already started to lay off certain employees, and their tasks have been completely taken over by artificial intelligence. The latter took the work from employees in the marketing department, namely the work that deals with online advertising.
If Google is to be believed, artificial intelligence does the job both better and faster than a human. It uses the so-called LLM (Large Language Model) model, which can "process" and "understand" a huge amount of data in a very short time. This is also built into the Google Ads Performance Max or Pmax cloud service. This has been available to Google Ads Performance Max subscribers for quite a few months now.
Nevertheless, many experts are still convinced that the task of artificial intelligence is not to replace humans, but to complement them. Just as masterful orchestral conducting cannot replace human artistic expression, artificial intelligence cannot replace human creativity. By taking over routine tasks, AI actually gives us more time to think outside the box, to solve problems creatively, and to pursue higher forms of employment.
