Currently the best Linux distribution for new users?

The Windows 10 operating system will soon become a thing of the past. The still very popular operating system will only be supported until October 14th of this year. Of course, there will be "exceptions". These will be individuals and companies who are willing to pay for additional support. Another option is of course to install the open source Linux operating system or one of the distributions on an outdated personal computer.

Newer Linux distributions are installed on a personal computer in a similar way to Windows, but at the same time they offer all the software tools that the average user needs in their daily work. In addition, most applications today are available as part of a cloud computing service, and to use them you only need a web browser (Office suite, Adobe graphics editing program, computer games and much more). If we add to this the fact that Linux distributions are generally free, there are fewer reasons to use modern Windows every day. Especially if we do not yet have a proper or legal license for it.

If you still think that the Windows 10 or Windows 11 desktop is one of the best, but you want to switch to the open source Linux operating system, we recommend that you install the latest ZorinOS operating system on your PC. The latest version 17.3 was prepared specifically to replace the Windows and MacOS operating systems. It offers a nice desktop, with rich multitasking that impresses. In addition, it allows users to fully personalize the work environment.

Zorin OS 17.3 is based on the open-source Ubuntu operating system and is also intended for less powerful personal computers. The novelty can be run on a personal computer with only 1.5 gigabytes of system memory. In addition, it offers a number of graphical desktops that are very similar to both Windows and MacOS operating systems, so working with it will be very easy. Therefore, it is also suitable for those individuals who are not ready for change. The icing on the cake is the customized Brave web browser, which has taken the place of the unpopular FireFox browser.

The open source operating system ZorinOS 17.3 is now available for download at https://zorin.com/os/download/. The "Core" version is intended for ordinary users and is completely free. For the most demanding users, there is a paid "Pro" version. This is not excessively expensive, as we will only have to pay 57.37 euros for it. For educational institutions and students, there is a Zorin OS 17.1 Education version with pre-installed dedicated programs.
