Practical experience

Predavatelji, ki jim lahko prisluhnete na CPU (Center za poslovno usposabljanje – Višja šola), imajo strokovno znanje in bogate praktične izkušnje iz gospodarstva. Ena izmed mnogih prednosti študija na CPU je, da posebno pozornost namenja zagotavljanju kakovostnih pogojev za aktivno delo in druženje na predavanjih in vajah. Z druženjem študenti pridobivajo in krepijo številne »mehke veščine«, vseeno pa je na voljo vsa oprema tudi za delo na daljavo. Tovrstno obliko študijskih aktivnosti vodstvo šole usklajuje s predavatelji in študenti.

The study is supported by an electronic classroom, in which professional literature, all necessary materials and notices related to the study and additional opportunities for learning and work of students are always available.

Experience shows that students who are connected to each other during their studies progress faster and, as a rule, complete their study obligations on time. The organization of studies allows each student to take time for himself at least twice a week and focus on his studies in the company of colleagues with the same goal. High-quality lectures and rich discussions make it easier for them to work independently.

Higher education study program in informatics

Med vsemi programi višješolskega izobraževanja, ki si jih lahko ogledate TUKAJ, naj izpostavimo INFORMATIKO. Študij traja dve leti. Med poklicnimi kompetencami pa boste kot inženir/ka informatike lahko svetovali in nudili tehnično podporo uporabnikom pri uporabi IKT; nameščali, vzdrževali in servisirali IKT opremo; načrtovali in gradili omrežja; nameščali in administrirali strežnike; načrtovali, razvijali in uvajali celovite programske rešitve; izdelovali spletne strani in še več.

It is important that students know how to apply knowledge in practice

It is extremely important that the knowledge we acquire today will be useful tomorrow at work or in our private life. Therefore, lecturers at CPU respond to the needs and challenges that students bring from their work environments. In this way, they help them solve concrete situations, convey modern knowledge and encourage everyone to think and be active.

The CPU is located in an easily accessible location in the center of Ljubljana with free parking spaces in front of the lecture halls.

What if the student does not have time to regularly attend organized studies? In this case, he can do the exercises and study the content himself when time permits.

Are previously acquired CPU competencies taken into account?

If the student has any work experience, the CPU will check the competencies and take them into account when collecting credit points.

They also take into account exams that the student may have taken at another higher education or higher education institution.

Every evaluated knowledge counts and the CPU believes that its validity should be recognized.

A candidate can enroll in part-time studies regardless of what, when and how many times he has already been enrolled in regular higher education or higher education study programs.

An additional plus - connection with the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia

A rich network of local companies, where students can get quality practical training, is another magnet for all future students. This is provided by the CPU together with the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia and its members.

CPU Vocational College is also the holder of the extended ERASMUS+ charter for student mobility. Experience gained abroad is always highly valued by companies.

Students are invited to become part of a network of 1,330 graduates, IT engineers, civil engineers, business secretaries and economists who have graduated from the Business Training Center and join more than half of those who have moved on, changed jobs within two years of graduating or they changed their work environment and are now more satisfied.

They also invite companies and other organizations to join the network of those who successfully and qualitatively transfer their knowledge and experience to future colleagues.
