Some time ago, AMD announced the start of sales of a new family of long-awaited Ryzen 7000 processors. These were processors intended for personal computers. As befits the latest generation, they have raised the level of performance compared to the previous one – up to 30 percent or more.

Recently, however, AMD introduced the Ryzen 7000 family of processors for laptops. These were presented during the recent technology conference CES 2023. It is the Ryzen 7040 (Phoenix) family of processors. Of course, these are also suitable for compact desktop PCs.

Therefore, it is not surprising that based on the processors of the Ryzen 7040 family, Geekom has prepared the first compact desktop computer. This is available in two versions, namely with Ryzen 9 7940H and Ryzen 7 7840H processors. Both data are calculated with eight processor cores and 16 virtual cores. The integrated AMD Radeon 780M RDNA 3 graphics card is capable of processing graphic content.

Naturally, the new Geekom miniature computer also offers support for DDR5-5600 and LPDDR5x-7500 system memories, up to a total of 256 gigabytes. It also has a metal case for the device. The novelty will arrive on store shelves in December, but unfortunately the retail price of the novelty has not yet been revealed.
