How fast is your current SSD? Would you like to replace it with the fastest commercial SSD in the world? Chinese company UNIS has introduced its first pure SSD based on the PCIe 5.0 data bus, which they claim is the fastest in the world.

UNIS' specifications for the new SSDs estimate a read speed of 14.9 gigabytes per second. In practice, this means that the new product is even faster than the Samsung 9100 PRO and Crucial T705 drives. The exceptional read speed is enabled by an advanced controller made using 12-nm technology and Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology. This actually optimizes data reading even during more demanding tasks.

The fast performance of the SSD PCIe 5.0 S5 from Chinese company UNIS makes it perfect for creative work such as artificial intelligence, video processing and playing demanding computer games. The new product will initially be available in capacities of one terabyte and two terabytes. The Ultra version will be available in capacities of two terabytes and four terabytes. The retail price of the new product has not yet been disclosed.
