Amazfit introduced the Pop 3R, a smaller alternative to the new Pop 3S model.

Amazfit has announced the Pop 3R, a round version of the rectangular Pop 3S that it introduced about two weeks ago. While the two share a common origin, the Pop 3R is much smaller than the Pop 3S. Amazfit specially made a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen (466 x 466 pixels) for the Pop 3R, which is covered by “2.5D glass”.

The Pop 3R is 10.8mm thick, measures 45.5mm diagonally and is IP68 certified for protection against dust and water. It is important to note that Amazfit does not recommend wearing the smartwatch while swimming. The IP rating only guarantees water resistance when the watch is submerged at a depth of about one meter for more than 30 minutes. Amazfit includes more than 100 sports modes, an SpO2 sensor and continuous heart rate monitoring. It also supports sleep monitoring, but judging by the specifications of the Pop 3R, it does not have a built-in GPS module.

In addition, Amazfit already has more than 100 watch faces installed and it is confirmed that you can create customized backgrounds with your photos. By the way, Amazfit advertises the Pop 3R as a watch with up to 12 days of battery life, matching the official operating times of the Pop 3S.

The Amazfit Pop 3R smartwatch is available to customers from June 29 onwards (first only in India, then elsewhere in the world). Fortunately, this one won't be too expensive. Namely, the entry-level version will be valued at 39 euros on the Indian market. The version with a metal belt will be valued at a calculated 45 euros, which is still cheap.
