ChatGPT as the default digital assistant for Android phones
ChatGPT AI is popular because of its ability. Namely, it helps users to answer questions, solve problems and provide information in various fields. With its ability to generate natural language, it enables interactive and user-friendly communication, which contributes to its popularity.
The ChatGPT chatbot is constantly being improved by OpenAI. Newer versions even allow users to activate ChatGPT by voice. An interesting feature is called ChatGPT Voice and it is available for free to everyone. The novelty allows you to interact with the artificially intelligent AI bot not only by writing sentences in the text field, but also by speaking to it. All you have to do is click on a button and say your question, ChatGPT converts it to text and passes it to a large language model, retrieves the answer and converts it back to speech, and answers you by voice. This further enhances the user experience.
Recently, however, a computer geek proved that the ChatGPT chatbot can even be used as the default digital assistant on Android smartphones. For this, we need the ChatGPT mobile application for Android version 1.2024.017 or 1.2024.018 and a monthly subscription to ChatGPT Plus in the amount of 18.45 euros. Although ChatGPT takes an average of 15 seconds to deliver responses, it has proven to be very accurate and overwhelming for users.
To include the chatbot ChatGPT in the role of a digital assistant, it is only necessary to activate this option in the installations of the ChatGPT application for Android. The new option is available under the “Beta Features” settings. The new feature is currently limited to only a select group of trial users, so it may not necessarily be available for your Android smartphone.
But if the tests bear fruit, the ChatGPT chatbot will become available to everyone in the role of a digital assistant.
