ChatGPT allows free users to create up to two images per day
OpenAI will allow users of the free ChatGPT tier to create up to two images per day with its DALL-E 3 model, the company recently announced. OpenAI integrated the DALL-E 3 image generator into ChatGPT last September, but only for users with a ChatGPT Plus subscription. DALL-E, like all similar photo generators, creates images using our prompts. ChatGPT can also suggest prompts for sometimes even better results than if you came up with prompts yourself.
Free access to the DALL-E 3 generator should be gradually introduced by the company. If you use ChatGPT frequently and are a free user, please check if you already have access. Write in the text box what you want it to create for you and wait for the result.
Two free images per day is a very lame limit, especially since the generator often doesn't make a good image on the first try. You often have to direct it a few more times afterwards if you want to get something useful. Copilot, Microsoft's artificial intelligence (operating on the GPT language model), offers free users up to 15 free photos per day, and the quality is at a very similar level.
For many, Midjourney is still the best photo generator, especially if you're looking for more realistic photos.
