An outstanding 5G processor for budget smartphones
The company MediaTek recently presented a very interesting model of the mobile processor family Dimensity. It is a Dimensity 6100 Plus processor. This will be aimed at low-end as well as mid-range devices, and the performance will be comparable to that of the highest-end devices. The novelty is manufactured using 6-nanometer technology and offers support for 5G mobile networks.
The Dimensity 6100 Plus mobile processor will be powerful enough even for the most demanding tasks. It is equipped with two Cortex-A76 processor cores with a frequency of 2.2 gigahertz and six energy-saving Cortex-A55 processor cores with a frequency of two gigahertz. The Arm Mali-G57 MC2 quad-core graphics processor is up to the task of more demanding graphic content and mobile games.
The interesting mobile processor MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus also offers support for LPDDR4x system memories and the UFS 2.2 data system. The novelty can easily handle 2K resolution and supports up to four digital cameras with a total resolution of 108 million pixels. As for screens, the novelty supports resolutions of up to 2,520 x 1,080 pixels with a refresh rate of up to 120 hertz.
MediaTek has already delivered the Dimensity 6100 Plus mobile processor to selected Android smartphone manufacturers. This means that the first phones equipped with it will go on sale towards the end of this fall. Here, of course, we will be dealing with low- and mid-range Android smartphones, which will handle more demanding tasks without any problems.
