Asus presented its first ROG NUC computer at CES 2024. Recently, it revealed another model of the extremely interesting family of compact desktop computers. This is the Asus NUC Pro+ model. It certainly won't be a blockbuster, but it might appeal to enthusiasts who prefer smaller computers.

Regardless of the handsome aluminum case measuring only 12.7 x 10.2 centimeters, the novelty looks like an impressive small computer. The novelty is available in connection with the extremely powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor. For less demanding users, Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 5 processors are also available.

The specifications of the unit are not too demanding, so cooling and noise should not be a problem. You can install up to 48 GB of DDR5-5600 (SO-DIMM) memory, two PCIe Gen 4 SSD drives, and it also has support for WiFi 6E, 2.5 GB LAN and Thunderbolt 4/USB 4. The latter supports DP 2.1, which together with dual DP 1.4a and one HDMI input means the Asus NUC Pro+ supports up to four high-definition displays.

Asus currently markets only the Asus NUC Pro+ desktop version equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processor. As expected, the novelty is not cheap. The entry-level version without system memory and data storage space is priced at 800 euros.
