Apple presented the new iPhone 16! What's new?

The speculation and confusion online can finally come to an end. Apple recently introduced a new series of iPhone 16 phones. What's new? This mainly concerns the new Apple A18 mobile processor for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models and the Apple A18 Pro for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models. The newbies got new digital cameras for the device, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max model has an even bigger screen that will convince many.

We can immediately say that all iPhone 16 models, like their predecessors, are expected to be equipped with a USB-C connector, which they were forced to do some time ago by new European legislation. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will use the older USB 2.0 generation, but the Pro versions will still get the third generation USB-C standard. Therefore, all iPhone 15 accessories will be compatible with them.

The regular line consists of the basic iPhone 16 with a 6.1-inch (15.5-centimeter) screen, iPhone 16 Plus with a 6.7-inch (17-centimeter) screen, iPhone 16 Pro with a 6.3-inch (16-centimeter) screen and the iPhone 16 Pro Max with a 6.9-inch or 17.5-centimeter screen. All devices come with a slightly refined camera body, Apple's updated A18 chip, better battery life and an advanced "Fusion camera" feature. Of course, everything is complemented by artificial intelligence, which has become even more accessible to end users with the A18 processor.

One of the main advantages of the new iPhone 16 smartphones is, of course, the new main camera. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models have a 48-megapixel image sensor with 2x optical zoom. There is also an auxiliary camera with a resolution of 12 million pixels. This is also true for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models, except that the latter only offer two digital cameras for capturing images and videos instead of three.

While the starting price of the iPhone 16 model in the United States is set at 799 US dollars (calculated 723 euros), the model iPhone 16 Plus is valued at 899 US dollars (calculated 814 euros). Newcomers can be pre-ordered from September 13th, and general sales will begin on September 20th.

The more powerful iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models are of course more expensive. The starting price of the iPhone 16 Pro model in the United States is set at 999 US dollars (calculated 905 euros), while the iPhone 16 Pro Max model will cost 1,199 US dollars (calculated 1,086 euros).

The new iPhone 16 smartphones will of course come to the European market, including the Slovenian one, a little later. Their retail prices will of course be significantly higher. Nevertheless, we believe that interest in them will still be high.
