Apple iPhone 16 banned in Indonesia! What's going on?
In September of this year, Apple introduced a new series of iPhone 16 phones. What's new? This mainly concerns the new Apple A18 mobile processor for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models and the Apple A18 Pro for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models. The newbies got new digital cameras for the device, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max model has an even bigger screen that will convince many. Unfortunately, there are no Indonesian authorities among them, as they have banned the sale of new iPhone 16 phones on the Indonesian market.
The Indonesian government banned the sale of iPhone 16 phones simply because Apple did not invest the required development capital in the Indonesian budget. In addition, the iPhone 16 smartphone does not meet the local requirement that any device manufactured in the territory of Indonesia must have at least 40 percent of components that were manufactured in the territory of Indonesia.
In order to solve the aforementioned problem, Apple initially offered the Indonesian government a calculated 9.5 million euros in start-up capital. This offer was immediately rejected by the local authorities. This was immediately followed by an offer in the amount of a calculated 95 million euros, which was also rejected. As everything seems, Apple will have to invest as much as 950 million euros to solve the problems, which is 10 times more than the current offer. This is the only condition for Apple to resume sales of iPhone 16 smartphones in the Indonesian market, which is very important for the computer giant.
