Smart watches are very popular among users due to their versatile usability and measurement of all possible parameters. The WearPico smartwatch, however, is a bit different from the competition. It is based on the Raspberry Pi Pico miniature personal computer and is completely open source, which means that it can be relatively easy to DIY, while also being very cheap to build.

Credit for the open-source smartwatch WearPico goes to computer geek Umut Sevdi. Plans for its production are freely available, namely at the link https://github.com/umutsevdi/wear-pico. Since the project is open source, it means that we can further adapt it to our needs and requirements, provided that we are equipped with the appropriate knowledge.

The WearPico watch is equipped with a customized graphical interface. In addition, it offers quite a few useful options, such as displaying messages and managing multimedia content. Everything can be controlled via a handy miniature screen that is sensitive to touch.

As already mentioned, the blueprint for making a smart wristwatch is available through the online platform GitHub. The associated software is also available, based on the C programming language. In addition to blueprints and software, the platform even includes scientific publications about the smart watch.
