AMD soon with the extremely interesting processors of the Phoenix 2 family
AMD has recently introduced the very interesting processors of the Ryzen 7000 family, namely the Ryzen 7040HS (Phoenix) family of processors. Newcomers are intended for both desktop and laptop computers. At full load, they consume from 35 watts to 54 watts of electrical power. This makes them also suitable for completely passively cooled systems.
AMD initially offered for sale three models of the Ryzen 7040HS processor family. Here are the models Ryzen 9 7940HS (8 physical cores, 16 cores, 24 MB cache, frequency 5.2/4.0 GHz), Ryzen 7 7840HS (8 physical cores, 16 cores, 24 MB cache, 5.1/ 3.8 GHz frequency) and Ryzen 5 7540HS (6 physical cores, 12 cores, 24 MB cache, 5.0/4.3 GHz frequency). The more powerful models Ryzen 9 7940HS and Ryzen 7 7840HS also have a built-in Radeon 780M graphics core, while the Ryzen 5 7640HS model has a Radeon 760M graphics core. Newbies will cope with more demanding tasks.
But soon we will see the second generation of AMD Phoenix processors. AMD Phoenix 2 family processors will be aimed at low- and mid-range computer systems. The newcomers will be based on Zen 4 processor cores and will support multi-core mode of operation. Initially, two models of the novelty will be available, namely equipped with eight processor cores and 12 threads and six processor cores and 12 threads. The built-in AMD RDNA 3 graphics core will be available for recalculating graphic content.
