A powerful miniature personal computer for your pocket

Mini PCs for work and play can be boring and are often relatively slow due to their limited dimensions. But this is not at all true of the Mercury EM680 miniature computer from Minisforum. The novelty is powerful enough to be used both for work and for fun. For the entry-level version, around 370 euros will have to be deducted abroad.

The Minisforum Mercury EM680 PC can easily run the latest operating systems such as Windows 11 and open source Linux distributions. This is not surprising, since it uses a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor with eight Zen 3+ processor cores to calculate data. The graphics content is matched by the built-in RDNA 3 Radeon 780M graphics card. Everything is contained in a compact computer case that measures only 80 x 80 x 43 millimeters, so we will even be able to carry it around.

The Minisforum Mercury EM680 mini computer can also be equipped with a Solid State drive and DDR5 system memory. Since the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor heats up a bit during operation, active cooling is also available, but it is barely audible. It also has a rich range of connections, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connections. In short, everything we need for both serious work and relaxing fun. The entry-level version of the Minisforum Mercury EM680 miniature computer with 16 gigabytes of system memory and 512 gigabytes of compact storage space is valued at 370 euros, which is actually not much for a powerful computer.
