A compact computer that can be used underwater

The warranty card that comes with computers usually states that they should not be used too often in very humid areas and doused with water. This will certainly not be written on the warranty card of the new product from Mekotronics, as its computer system is resistant to both moisture and water. According to the engineers, the newcomer is also resistant to mechanical damage, high temperature changes and is even environmentally friendly, as it consumes a negligible amount of electricity during operation.

The hardware of the entry-level version (4GB/32GB) of the recalculated 220-euro compact PC with the sales designation R58X-IP68 includes an eight-core Rockchip RK3588 processor with an integrated Arm Mali-G610 MP4 graphics card. Here we also find system memory of up to 16 GB and a drive of up to 128 gigabytes. This can of course be expanded with the help of an additional Solid State drive. Support for M.2 M-Key 2280 (PCIe 3.0) type drives is provided here.

A rich range of operating systems can be installed on the Mekotronics R58X-IP68 waterproof industrial computer system.
