The market for portable gaming consoles is becoming increasingly diverse. A very unique portable gaming console will soon join the competition. Computer geek Dan McKenzie has recently introduced to the public a unique portable gaming console that is open source.

The NucDeck open source gaming console has no secrets for buyers, as both documentation and dedicated software are freely available. For a device, the novelty is also extremely powerful. It is equipped with a seventh generation Intel Core-i5 processor and 16 gigabytes of system memory. This will be enough to run even slightly more demanding computer games.

Computer enthusiast Dan McKenzie has also equipped the open-source NucDeck gaming console with a high-quality touch-sensitive screen with a 7-inch or 17.8-centimeter diagonal. Of course, there are many sensors available, analog joysticks, touchpad and much more. In short, everything advanced gamers need to play their favorite PC games.

The NucDeck open source gaming console is currently still in the prototype stage of development. If everything goes according to plan, the novelty could be on sale before the end of this year. In all likelihood, its retail price should be around the calculated 370 euros, which is not too expensive. More information about the innovation is available at https://github.com/dmcke5/NucDeck.
