5 Android Apps You Shouldn't Miss This Week (Part 92)
Snowbreak: Containment Zone
Price: Free of charge
First, we present a shooter with a sci-fi theme and certain RPG elements. These are pretty standard for an RPG game. You can summon different characters, upgrade them and use them to progress through the story. Additionally, you can either manually or automatically collect levels for the materials you use for said upgrade. The combat leans more towards an action RPG than a traditional shooter, but the game offers you guns as your primary weapon. Snowbreak: Containment Zone has quite a bit of brilliance and is different from the usual gacha RPG game.

Daily Data extra
Price: Free of charge
Statista Daily Data is the official app of Statista. You've probably heard of it if you've ever wondered about statistics on anything. In any case, this app is mostly for fun. It shows daily infographics showing different amounts of data. In addition, the app also offers fun facts, quizzes and the ability to customize notifications so that you only see statistics on topics that interest you. This is a specialized product for curious people and not something that everyone would use. Still, it's a pretty interesting app.

Clue
Price: Free of charge
Clue is another mobile remake of the classic board game. It is played mostly like a classic game. Your objective is to find the perpetrator, the place and the tool used for the murder. The mobile version allows players to conduct interviews, discover facts about the case and finally solve it. There is a single player mode and an offline multiplayer mode. You can adjust the difficulty to make it as easy or hard as you want. There are microtransactions in the game that some people don't like, and there are also some early bugs. Taken as a whole, Clue is not a bad game.

SimplyLocal
Price: Free of charge
SimplyLocal is like Google Maps for locally grown food. It boasts tens of thousands of registered farms across the US where users can purchase a variety of food. Yes, the application is unfortunately not available in Slovenia, but we thought it was interesting enough to include it in this list. The search results also include farmers' markets, where you can buy many different types of food. Of course, the food is more expensive than what customers get in the store. The advantage of this app is that users can choose the quality of the food, and at least for some people, that counts. The app is free to use, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

War Thunder Mobile
Price: Free of charge
War Thunder Mobile is an important release for two reasons. First, it brings the popular War Thunder franchise to mobile devices where you can battle tanks or ships against your opponents. The second reason is because it is the first major game with "ray tracing". Currently, ray tracing is supported by phones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Mediatek 9200 and Exynos 2200 processors.
As for the gameplay, it looks great and the controls are relatively easy to master. Fortunately, the tutorial isn't too annoying. Long resource gathering sessions are to be expected as you approach the endgame, but that's typical of a mobile game. If you enjoy military games, War Thunder Mobile is definitely worth a try.
The "Ray tracing" part is also important. This has been available since the release of the latest generations of mobile chips, but developers have been slow to respond. Ray tracing in War Thunder is subtle. The developers focused on better shadow detail, which you can see in Qualcomm's presentation. The effect is noticeable when playing as a tank, but less so when playing as a ship, where you're zoomed in so far that fine details aren't noticeable. The new technology isn't as impressive as Cyberpunk 2077, which some might have expected, but it's still a big step forward for mobile gaming in general.
