iQOO Z8: great performance, fast charging, but what about the price?

iQOO, a sub-brand of Vivo, announced the release of the Z8 series, which was supposed to be launched in China on August 31, but the launch has apparently been delayed. The new series is said to include the iQOO Z8 and iQOO Z8x models. Ahead of the official launch, some key specifications of the iQOO Z8 have been revealed. The device will be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh and support for ultra-fast charging with a power of 120 W, which will charge the battery from 0 to 100 % in just 10 minutes. In addition, the battery will retain 80 % of its capacity even after 1460 charge cycles.

The Z8 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor, which scored 980,832 points in the AnTuTu tests, which puts it on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Eight research and development teams participated in the development of the smartphone. According to their data, the performance should remain intact even after 1500 hours of continuous operation. The phone has also passed over 30 flawlessness tests at Vivo labs and is certified for 48 months of flawless performance.

The iQOO Z8 will be available in blue and white colors and will feature a dual-camera system on the back, with the main camera supporting optical image stabilization (OIS). The device is also said to have a 6.64-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will run on Android 13 with Origin OS 3.0 on top. We can expect the phone to come with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

All these predictions present the iQOO Z8 as a very strong competitor, although we will most likely not see it in Slovenia. It's a pity, because it works very promisingly, especially if it turns out that the price of the phone will be around 500 euros.
