Google revealed the new Pixel 8 in a video
Google has announced the arrival of the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 smartphones several times on its website. Google has announced its annual event (Google I/O) on October 4, and usually presents new Android phones at that time. Quite a few improvements are expected, both in design, digital cameras, sensors, sensors, processor and practically all other components. Goolge also "proved" this with the unexpected publication of a presentation video of the new Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 phones. The video surprised even the most knowledgeable people, as it is a very unusual move by the computer giant. The mentioned video is available for viewing below or at the link https://youtu.be/u_uap-98Knw.
Although the company has yet to reveal information about the upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones, the latter has been in the limelight for a long time as it will be considerably more powerful. If online rumors are to be believed, it will be equipped with a Google Tensor G3+ Titan mobile processor. Of course, it won't be as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but we don't expect performance issues. A screen with a 6.17-inch or 15.7-centimeter diagonal and a resolution of 2,268 x 1,080 pixels will be available for displaying images. The rest of the hardware will include another 12 gigabytes of system memory and 128 gigabytes, 256 gigabytes or 512 gigabytes of storage space. A camera with a resolution of 50 million points will add a finishing touch.
The new Google Pixel 8 Pro is said to even have a sensor for measuring body temperature, which could be used to measure the temperature of people and objects at a distance of up to five centimeters. The entire temperature measurement should take about five minutes. The latest Android 14 will be installed on it. This will of course bring a rich range of new options and functionality.
The Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone smartphone is said to be more expensive compared to its predecessor. The entry-level version of the Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone (128 gigabytes of space) is said to be priced at as much as 1,235 euros, which is as much as 336 euros more than the current Pixel 7 Pro model. A slightly more powerful model with 256 gigabytes of available space is said to be valued at as much as 1,309 euros, or 310 euros more than the Pixel 7 Pro model with the same memory capacity. For the most powerful version of the Google Pixel 8 Pro phone with 512 gigabytes of built-in memory, as much as 1,461 euros should be paid.
If the predictions turn out to be true, Google will lose the price advantage it had over Samsung and Apple phones, as well as other manufacturers (Xiaomi, Honor, Oppo...). What is perhaps even more important, even for existing users, is the news that Google phones will finally get (some already got it) support for 5G, VoLTE and VoWiFi in Slovenia.
It is expected that before or immediately after the release, the older models will experience a price reduction. You can currently get the Pixel 7a for 499 euros, the Pixel 7 for 539 euros, and the Pixel 7 Pro for 750 euros. The release of the new phones is announced for October 4. If you are not in a hurry, you can wait until then. If the new Pixel 8 phones are indeed going to be that much more expensive, then the Pixel 7 phones are still a very good alternative.
