ChatGPT search engine also available without an account

ChatGPT Search is no longer required to log in, OpenAI recently announced. With this feature, ChatGPT will display answers based on information from the web, while also providing a list of the sources it used to formulate the answer.

OpenAI first introduced the search engine to ChatGPT subscribers last October, and in December it was rolled out to all regions where ChatGPT is supported. By removing the login requirement, ChatGPT has moved even closer to traditional search engines like Google and Bing. Don't expect a drastic change or a major migration of users to an AI-powered search engine, but it can still be a good alternative to existing solutions, especially if you're willing to change the way you browse the web. While you'll likely search with keywords on Google most of the time, ChatGPT (and similar search engines) gives you more freedom in this regard. If you don't trust the answers ChatGPT provides, you can still manually verify the authenticity of sources and claims yourself.

Perplexity, another AI search engine, also allows you to search the web without an account, and recently introduced an integration that pulls hotel information and reviews directly from TripAdvisor.
