Microsoft launches Windows app for iPhone, Mac and Android

Microsoft introduced the Windows app for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, web browsers, Android devices, and even Windows PCs. A Windows app is basically a hub for streaming a copy of Windows from a variety of sources, including Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Remote Desktop…

They tested it for almost a year. It includes a customizable Windows home screen, multi-monitor support, and USB redirection so you can use a variety of external devices like webcams, storage devices, and printers.

The application is only available for Microsoft work and school accounts, as it was designed primarily for existing remote connection users. These types of applications have always been available in Windows, and currently the best approximation is the Remote Desktop Connection application available in Windows 11. New and older applications are a good way to quickly connect to work computers from a personal laptop or desktop computer.

They currently have no plans to make the app available for consumer accounts. You can download the Windows app from the Microsoft Store or Apple's App Store. The Android version is currently in preview mode, which means it will be available to the general public soon.
